Mockingbird Gallery

Even as the snow falls gently around us, we feel Spring is on the way. We are welcoming the new season with a vibrant and classic exhibit featuring western artists Lisa Danielle and John DeMott. Both artists conjure up visions of the American West that are recognizable yet moments and tokens of the past.

"Guardians of Time" will open Friday March 1st from 5-8pm and will run through the end of the month. The sheer talent and absorbing qualities of these works must be enjoyed in person - do stop by and take a stroll through the experience.

Artist Lisa Danielle's great-grandmother taught school on the San Carlos Apache Reservation in Southern Arizona and over the years built up a diverse collection of historic memorabilia that Lisa continues to focus on and showcase in her pieces. Over the years Danielle has begun to combine objects and themes from other cultures which has expanded her themes to include and reflect legacy and nostalgia for each viewer of her work.

Colorado artist John DeMott absorbs himself in his art and uses historic realism to bring us back to a time of 19th Century frontier life. John will stand in the path of stampeding buffalo and participate in 1880's style shoot outs while also spending time on Civil War battlefield to fully engulf himself and his creativity and produce authentic and classic works of art.
