| The stone is the darkest of the Colorado Alabasters, using bloodwood for the rim and bottom and a rather soft curve. This piece is a prehistoric landscape. When the light comes through the stone it seems you are looking at a scene from the beginning of time. A scene created millions of years ago and only now brought to light with the sculpting of this vessel, you can see the drama, raw energy and creation from a time almost "infinitely" long ago. |
